No man looks bad in a suit....

After having sorted my dress situation out for the US wedding I decided to let Mr. FMB know what I wanted him to wear. Our wedding is at 3pm in an old hot steamy church in the middle of July. Mr. FMB hates the Boston weather in the summer with its uncomfortable heat and humidity. I was thinking something clean cut and light because I am a very thoughtful fiance.

I thought the tan option would be viable but it turns out that Mr. FMB hates light colored suits. A seersucker suit only really existed in my imagination. Getting Mr. FMB into that suit would be harder than trying to give a cat a bath. None of it mattered anyways.... Turns out Mr. FMB had already figured out what he wanted to wear. A morning suit... (cue google search).

The first image that appeared was this dapper looking man from the 1800's or so... and yes I started laughing. After more research I discovered that the morning suit is the proper wedding attire for daytime weddings in the UK. Typically the suits have a longer jacket and high waisted grey striped trousers. Men's Warehouse in the US does have one to rent:

I think we will end up purchasing one for him in the UK however Dad FMB will be renting and looking in fine in something very similar to above. I can just picture the wedding now with all the men in their "top and tails" talking about smart things with British accents.... oh wait that will happen.

Did you or your fiance decide on what the men were wearing? Were you on the same page or completely different like we were? While you are pondering I will leave you with some eye candy:

  1. Which one's the eye candy? I think I'd rather look at Kate than William :)

I decided the tux in our wedding...Keith wasn't around, but we both didn't want it to look stuffy.
